Last year, a study by a scientific team headed by a self-described “climate skeptic” concluded that global warming is real, and previous estimates of warming were correct. Now the head of the group says human-based greenhouse gas emissions are “almost entirely the cause.”
Richard Muller, a professor of physics at UC Berkeley and the Founder and Scientific Director of The Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature Study (BEST), has recently come out in support of the view that human activity is the likely driver in recent global warming. The revelation was published in an op-ed in The New York Times on the eve of the release of BEST’s latest research on the subject.
